Participant：Ms. HEWA MALAVI ARACHCHIGE Sachini Malika (from Sri Lanka)

Five trainees from four countries (Ethiopia‚ Mongolia‚ Rwanda‚ Sri Lanka) gathered at JICA Kyushu in Kitakyushu for one month from Oct.26th to Nov.29th‚ 2025. Training on local industry promotion was carried out.

Good afternoon‚ everyone‚
With the permission of the distinguished guests‚ I would like to start my speech. First of all‚ I would like to express my sincere gratitude to JICA for organizing this one-month training program on Local Industry Promotion through the Cluster Approach. Throughout this program‚ we had valuable lectures‚ insightful field visits‚ and wonderful opportunities to explore Japan. JICA provided us with learning materials‚ accommodation‚ meals‚ medical support‚ and every facility we needed. We are truly thankful. We also understand that the funds for this program come from the tax contributions of the Japanese people‚ and we are sincerely grateful for their support.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Goto Ko‚ Director General of JICA Kyushu‚ for joining us today for the closing ceremony. Thank you as well‚ Mr. Odawara‚ Senior Managing Director of KITA for taking the time to be here with us on this special occasion.
Next‚ my deepest appreciation goes to our course leader‚ Mr. Morioka. He was extremely kind‚ knowledgeable‚ and took great care of all of us throughout this month. He ensured not only our learning‚ but also our comfort every single day.
My thanks also go to Mr. Oshiro‚ the Chief Training Officer at JICA. He supported us throughout the entire program and was with us whenever possible‚ providing guidance and encouragement.

Last but not least‚ I would like to sincerely thank our coordinator‚ Ms. Aratake. She was an excellent translator with a remarkable ability to understand all of us‚ despite our different backgrounds and cultures. She was very kind-hearted and helped us in every possible way.
Finally‚ I would like to thank all the lecturers who conducted sessions during our course‚ the factory owners who welcomed us to their facilities‚ and all the JICA staff including office staff‚ front desk‚ restaurant team‚ security officers‚ and cleaning staff. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this training program a success.
